Hot off his success at Calgary's FallCon, Matt Tolman will be running another Undermining tournament. The game's running fast as lightning now and smooth as butter (Mmmm, buttered lightning), and he's just experimenting with some variant gameboard layouts as a final touch.
As for myself, I'll be running a couple of Famous Games "world's smallest sports games" tournaments that we didn't have room for in the FallCon schedule (Baseball and Tennis), as well as a repeat of the Famous 500 car racing tournament with some slightly tweaked point values on the tracks. Of course, all of the other titles in the Famous Games line will be available for play in the open gaming area and I'll probably have some of my other prototypes with me as well.
But the fun doesn't stop there. Matt and I will also be running a panel discussion called "Designing Boardgames for Fun and Profit" which everyone is welcome to attend. There's no set agenda, just a lot of industry knowledge that we've been secretly gathering here at Game Artisans HQ and are happy to share. So come loaded with questions and we'll do our best "brain in a jar" imitations to give you some answers and keep you entertained. Check out their entire event schedule for a high-level view of all the fascinating stuff that will be going on.
See you there!
